You Can Have the Truck back

I may be blonde and I may have my dumbass moments, but I sure as hell am not a complete idiot. You can try to screw me but I can guarantee I will always be two steps ahead.

One night I get al little surprise in my text inbox. It is Jack informing me that he is filing bankruptcy and he is including the truck in his bankruptcy papers. He wants to know if I want the truck until the bankruptcy process is over.

Haha okay. Let’s take a timeout real quick and analyze this lovely offer and do a quick run down on his credit.

First of all, what is the catch? Why is he offering me the truck? That truck is their only vehicle they have that can hold all 50 of his troops all at once.

Second, if he gets discharged from the truck, who do you think they are going to go after for the rest of the loan? Oh yea, me. I am the co-signer, so I will be the only one left on the loan.

Thirdly, why the fuck is he filing bankruptcy when most of his credit is non-dischargeable? It’s none of my concern but the judge isn’t going to let him file the truck so he can get a bigger and better truck to be in the same situation later.

His credit consists of a few small charges that can be erased, IRS debt, child support, child support arrears, medical bills, and vehicles.

The IRS, child support, and medical bills are considered non-dischargeable. But whatever, if he wants to pay a few thousand for his credit to virtually stay the same, good for him.

I text him back and ask why I would need the truck now.

Jack- If you want it, I will give it to you on the 10^th. Payment is due on the 11^th and you need insurance for it.

Haaaaa. Back the truck up. If he is filing bankruptcy, why the fuck would I make the payments on the truck? Are you kidding me?

Me- Ummmm, why would I pay for the truck when you are supposedly going to get it taken away?

Jack- I am giving  you the option of having it until then.

Me- How thoughtful of you. Too bad you never do anything that doesn’t have a catch or benefits you.

Jack- There’s no catch.

Me- Right. Well if you get discharged from the truck, who do you think they will go after? Yeah. No, thank you.

Of course, no answer. What a fucking joke. You better believe I will be disputing all bankruptcy charges on the truck to ensure he doesn’t get discharged from it.

If he was halfway intelligent, he would have kept his mouth shut and screwed me quietly. Thank goodness  Jack is a complete moron.
